Seago visited Morocco on three occasions (1966, '67 and '68), basing himself in Marrakech where he painted the crowds in the Medina, the narrow Souks and the red city walls. Exploring beyond the city Seago captured the Berber shepherds on the red clay plains with the snow-capped High Atlas Mountains beyond.
